Port Superintendent

The Port Superintendent (Port Captain) will act in an advisory capacity only. He will have no jurisdiction over the vessel personnel. As always the Master is responsible for all vessel operations. we can provide it on board the vessel calling terminals and port in the Region.

Our Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Master, officers, and crew, as required, in order to ensure a safe and efficient operation while the vessel is in port.

  2. Act as liaison between ship, terminal, and survey company personnel as required.

  3. Monitor the performance of the vessel, terminal, and survey company personnel to ensure all local regulations are complied with.

  4. Assist the Master, officers with any Coast Guard, terminal safety, and /or major oil company vetting inspections.

  5. Make any recommendations to improve the overall efficiency of the vessel and/or terminal operation.
